Summer is finally here! Hopefully you've secured an invitation to a friend's cottage by the lake or beach house for a weekend of sun and relaxation.  It's always nice to show your appreciation for your hosts generosity, and although not required, a thoughtful  gift goes a long way to saying thanks.

A favorite gift I received last summer from a weekend guest was two freshly baked loaves of banana nut bread, beautifully packaged with the recipe attached.  We devoured one loaf at breakfast and nibbled on the second loaf throughout the weekend-delicious! But if you haven't been blessed with the baking gene, don't despair, bring a box of your favorite bakery treat and wrap a pretty grosgrain ribbon around it. My favorite treat for families with kids and chocoholics is a tin of Fat Witch Brownies. These treats are decadent, delicious and have a hilarious name-who can resist!
