Interior Designer and blogger extraordinaire, Phoebe Howard, recently posted about her use of mahogany vanities in all her bathrooms, stating it was her material of choice. I was quite surprised to read this, as I would have thought that given her soft, subtle, muted style the all white bathroom would have been her preference.
It got me thinking. I have never considered using a mahogany or stained timber vanity or black for that matter, as I prefer the look of an all white bathroom, or at least pale painted bathroom furniture.
So I thought I'd do a comparison, just to make sure. And while I can appreciate the appeal of the mahogany furniture, it's very striking, sophisticated, grounded and traditional, I have to admit I still prefer the white.
