I have America-envy when it comes to the availability of amazing homewares, furniture, soft furnishings. antiques and the like and am constantly bemoaning the fact that we can't get much here in Australia, and the majority of retailers in the US don't ship internationally. I've been suffering from Craigslist-envy for a while and I now also have Ebay-envy. I have been searching the site for bargains and buys for the house and every time I do a search for something I want, the stuff I like always ends up in the international seller section and it's driving me nuts.

Here's a few great items I found today in the Hollywood Regency bamboo style, some vintage some repro but all lovely things I'd love to get my hands on. I noticed a company called TSC Moving will quote on shipping, so I've put in a request to find out if it would be worth it.

And just to show you, this is what came up in the single page of search results when I typed in bamboo furniture into the Australian Ebay.....

PS thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments on my LA vs Hamptons dilemma. It seems you voted resoundingly for the Hamptons and I even had an offer from a lovely lady in Atlanta to stay at her 100 year old house in Amagansett and drive me around. Honestly, the people you meet and kindness of strangers through blogging never ceases to amaze me. So I now have to see if I can in fact change my flights and then the decision will be made. Off now to take Charlie to see a movie for school holiday treat, his vote is for Kung Fu Panda 2 and I'm angling for Mr Popper's Penguins. We'll see who wins!
