I saw this mood board on Tobi Fairley's blog while I was trying to catch up on all my blog reading while the kids are a) asleep, b) watching Toy Story. It caught my eye as a fabulous mood board for Charlie's bedroom and when I went through the list of product sources she used I wasn't at all surprised to find that they are all from some of my favourite American companies and of course, not available here. ie Ballard Designs, Serena & Lily and Bungalow 5 to name a few.

That is, expect for the Dash and Albert rug! Hooray, something gorgeous we can get in Australia. So if you are after a D&A rug, and they have so many lovely ones to choose from, you can get in touch with Sarah at Winton House who is the importer and she will direct you to the nearest retailer. I can't wait to use them when we finish renovating and I'm up to the fun part - decorating.

On another note, I am trying to finalise the kitchen design and I have a quandary with the kitchen benchtop sink. The thing is, and I'll be asking for opinions soon to take note, I love a sink with a drainer. I use them all the time, and can't bear not having one. I have had benches with no drainer where you have to lay a tea towel on the bench when you wash up, and water goes everywhere and it takes up valuable benchspace or you put a tray over the second bowl and use that as a drainer, but never again as a second bowl.

I have had butler's sinks which looks fabulous but I didn't find very practical, and have had grooves cut into Caesarstone to drain but that didn't work well either. I much prefer the look of no drainer and just a lovely undermount sink so the top and tapware can be the star, and in a marble benchtop it kills me to cut a big chunk out, but I have to be practical. I just can't live without them.

So, I have been searching for a nice undermount sink that has a draining board, but these are few and far between. Clark Epure Evolution is about as nice as I've found, but it's about $1399 and I'm worried it's too modern looking, especially with a Nicolazzi sink mixer.
