I'm thrilled to have Debby from Inspired Design guest post today on our Closet Confidential series. I know that Debby's closet is going to be stylish and full of charm, just like her!

What are the 5 essential clothing items in your closet?_________

1.  My Kate Spade handbag
2.  My Tiffany key necklace
3.  J. Crew pea coat
4.  Brown leather riding boots
5.  Dark wash jeans

The one thing in my closet that I should get rid of but just can part with___________


I have a nubby old sweatshirt that I can't part with. I lounge around the house in it and it's just too comfy to throw out.

Describe your perfect outfit__________________________


First and foremost it has to be comfortable.  My go-to daytime outfit is a pair of dark wash jeans, a cute blazer or jacket, pretty scarf, and ballet flats.


For a casual dinner out this same outfit can be dressed up by swapping the ballet flats for a great pair of heels and trading the scarf for a chunky necklace.

I have a soft spot for cute jackets, scarves, and flats. 

My dream closet would include_____________


I have wanted to wallpaper my closet forever!  It would have a beautiful leaning wall mirror and a fancy chandelier!

I’ve kept_______________hoping (it would fit, it would come back in style, sentimental)


I've kept jeans that are too small that in the hopes that someday I'll be able to squeeze comfortably back into them. 

I never have enough_____________________

I just had to throw out a sweater whose best days had gone by.

I would like extra shelves but unfortunately don't have any so I will have to settle for hangers.

One thing I can't believe I don't have is a classic trench coat.  I hope to fix that this spring.

Preppy blouses mostly from J Crew and Anthropologie. Plaid, gingham, plain white... you name it!

When it gets messy enough it's time to clean out the closet.  I have actually gotten really great about donating things I don't wear.

I love that it's a walk-in and I don't have to share it.

I would like some built in organization. Shelves, sweater drawers, and shoe racks.

If you haven't worn an item for 6 months then you are more than likely not going to.  Donate it.
