Spoils of my trip! - Hello friends Home Improvement, On this occasion I will discuss the article entitled Spoils of my trip!, I have provided various other latest articles. hopefully the article that I wrote is useful for you all..
When I finally had enough energy to unpack, it was a bit of a daunting task but exciting to revisit all my purchases and delight in my finds. I was however a little disappointed with the amount I brought back. When I looked at my loot it didn't look much like ten days worth of shopping and in my mind I thought I'd bought much more. But I think a lot of it was just memories of things I'd seen and had intended on buying, but either couldn't get stock in time or the fear of luggage limitations and customs prevented me bringing it back. Oh, and the inevitable credit card bill and ire of husband.
I did find it a bit frustrating going to shops like Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn and wanting to buy say a couple of wall scones or a bunch of door handles and pulls, but being told they don't keep stock and had to order them in. Not very helpful when you need the stuff on the spot.
Gracious Home in New York was a fantastic treasure trove. Bit of a big mess, but had everything you could possibly want for your house and most of it in stock. You have to pick around and find the really great stuff, but it's chockablock full of amazing finds, from reasonably priced to very expensive, and I defy anyone to come out empty-handed.
Here's a selection of some nice bits and pieces. I think the kids did best of everybody! I've got enough toys and clothes for the next few years of birthdays and Christmas sorted.
