Father's Day Spring 2011

Father's Day in Australia always signals the start of spring with blossoms appearing on trees, the ground bursting with bright daffodils and jonquils, the days becoming longer and the nights milder.  This year was no exception and in the Southern Highlands at least Mother Nature did her best to impress.

We had a wonderful day at the farm, with the children outdoors in the lovely spring sunshine, although missing their cousins who are usually present at these occasions but instead are caravanning around the Northern Territory. The farm always looks its best in spring and is starting to come to life.

My husband's favourite was put on for lunch - a delicious roast pork with all the trimmings followed by apple, rhubarb and raspberry crumble.
