Weekend Roundup
I am so lucky! Honestly, I have two delicious children, who frequently drive me to distraction but who most of the time are completely adorable, a devoted and wonderfully helpful and amazing husband, who frequently drives me to distraction but who most of the time is completely adorable. We had a relaxing, lazy, wonderful family focused weekend in a sunny Sydney and here's proof.
Saturday morning. Thought this was particularly appropriate given that several young kids have died in Australia this week attempting "planking" stunts. Saw this window in a local swimwear shop.
Saturday mid-morning. Attended Poppy's daycare parents' morning tea in the local park in Manly. Lovely photo of father and son.
Tried to get a "so someone knows I was here" photo.
Someone is rather determined, independent and stubborn, and insists on pushing her own pram when not seated in it.
As usual, at least two playgrounds feature in our weekend activities.
At least this one was on the beach with this view. So not all bad.
These gigantic Moreton Bay Figs are a tree-climbers delight.

How lucky am I to live here!
Sunday evening. Had friends for dinner here.....

While Little Miss Messy made a mess here.....

Made my first ever Chicken and Leek Pie. Thank heavens for easy Women's Weekly recipes.
(Note the glass of wine is never far out of reach)
Which didn't turn out too badly.
Then boldly attempted Martha's Raspberry and Apple crumble (inspired by my sister's triumphant effort on Mother's Day). As I'm not a dessert fan this is a major challenge.
Which again didn't turn out too badly.
This is always a good sign!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I'm off to bed with my iPad and a few trashy mags!
